This was a really great story about a girl name Minli. She lives in a village nestled next to a barren mountain where the living is difficult and the villagers are poor. Her father tells her stories and her mother wishes the family had a better fortune. Minli had some great adventures and learns a lot about life. What I wasn't expecting so much is that the story wasn't just about her, but also about her parents. I've added this one to my list of favorite books.
