Life is so much more interesting when you pretend that you are royalty. (At least my daughters seem to think so.)

Getting Ready for Thanksgiving?
Since when did Thanksgiving include tents and dutch ovens? Well, for us this year it does. We have been wanting to go camping as a family for a while, but things just kept getting in the way. So, we decided that turkey is just as good cooked in a dutch oven as in a real oven, so we are heading "over the river and through the woods", where we are going to stay for a few days. We bought a new nine man tent on Saturday (no, we are not planning to have seven children, it was just the biggest tent we could afford, and that had the features on Jamie's checklist). Thanksgiving dinner is going to consist of a turkey breast cooked in the dutch oven with lot of yummy veggies, a sweet potato and apple casserole also cooked in the dutch oven, baked sweet potatoes, rolls (made before we leave), cranberry sauce (made before we leave) and pumpkin pie (also made before we leave). I'm excited for the next post to be about our Super Dooper Thanksgiving Camping Trip!!
