Bailey wanted to read this after he read "The Year of the Rat". It was a fun little book. Grace is a little girl trying to figure out what her talents are and decide what she wants to do when she grows up. She explores how frustrated she feels about being a Taiwanese American. She doesn't feel that she fits anywhere. The "Year of the Dog" ends happily enough. It's a great read for the 7-10 year old crowd.
