The birthday cakes, Lucy's is Chocolate with Strawberry Icing, Seth's is Strawberry with Chocolate Icing. It was Bailey's idea to do the cakes like that.
Seth just wanted the strawberries on the top. Of course the flame on the candle was interesting too and he tried to grab it.
Lucy is at that age when she starts to anticipate things like birthdays. She was so excited to have a birthday cake. As you can imagine Abigail was instrumental in her being excited for her birthday.
He was more excited about the strawberries, I think he ate three of them. The frosting proved to be a lot of fun. What one year old doesn't like to make a mess?
We gave Lucy some reusable stickers with a background. As you can see it is Dora themed. She carries it around calling it her Dora Thingy.
Seth loves to take baths so we got him some bath turtles and a bag to store them in. He loved taking them out of the bag and putting them back in. He did it for quite a while.
It was a really fun birthday for both Lucy and Seth. It's great to have a three year old and a one year old!

Cute pictures! I can't believe Seth is one already! Do they have the same birthday?
Yes, they do have the same birthday. Abby has been known to describe it as "you guys are twins except born two years apart."
The best part of them sharing a birthday is that both of them were scheduled c-sections. :)
Yes, but you only have so much control over when your C-section is. The biggest limitation is that it needs to be on your doctor's surgery day.
With Seth, they only wanted me to go to 37 weeks because of my thinning uterus. We think my due date was off because he was most likely only 36 weeks.
I stewed over them having the same birthday, but it really worked out better for the actual day (it was a Friday, Jamie would only have to take off two days of work since he was just starting, that was huge). They really didn't want me to go to the next Friday, so they have the same birthday.
I know all that, but it is fun teasing you over it. :)
